FAQ - Dhanvantaree

Frequently asked questions

Is Dhanvantaree only for clinics, or does it work for hospitals too?

Dhanvantaree is built for both. Independent clinics use the OPD module — appointments, customizable visit forms, prescriptions, and billing. Hospitals get everything a clinic does, plus IPD admission and inpatient timeline, bed and ward management, nursing notes, diet charts, and discharge summaries. One platform, all care settings.

What does the IPD module include?

The IPD module covers the entire inpatient lifecycle. When a patient is admitted, the care team records doctor's ward round notes, nursing observations and vitals, diet charts, and clinical events in a shared, timestamped timeline. On discharge, a summary is generated automatically. Beds and wards are managed through a visual layout that shows occupancy in real time.

Is Dhanvantaree an offline or online software?

Dhanvantaree is primarily a cloud-based web application — accessible from any browser on any device. We also support on-premise installation for hospitals that need local hosting. Even in offline mode, a periodic internet connection is required to validate your subscription.

Can we customise the visit and IPD entry forms?

Yes — fully. OPD visit forms and IPD entry templates are each independently configurable using a drag-and-drop layout editor. The OPD questionnaire step supports up to three pages. Different specialties (orthopaedics, maternity, paediatrics) can have completely different form layouts. You shape the workflow; we just make it run.

Do you provide reports?

Yes. The reports section covers visit reports (OPD and IPD), invoice reports, collections, outstanding dues, and more — all filterable by date range, doctor, or source. Export to CSV for analysis, or download Tally-compatible XML to import directly into your accounting software.

Does Dhanvantaree include pharmacy and lab modules?

Yes. The in-house pharmacy module handles medicine sales with a point-of-sale interface, discounts, and printed receipts. The pathology/lab module lets doctors raise investigation orders directly from a visit, track test status, and bill for tests — all linked to the patient's record.

Please explain the pricing.

We have two standard plans:

The Essential plan charges ₹900 per doctor per month. Each doctor subscription includes one additional staff account (receptionist or manager) at no extra cost. So a hospital with 3 doctors, 1 receptionist, and 1 manager pays 3 × ₹900 = ₹2,700/month, covering both OPD and IPD use.

The FlexiVisit plan has no per-doctor fee and charges based on usage instead — ₹5 per OPD visit and ₹25 per IPD patient per day. This works well for high-footfall outpatient setups or hospitals where patient volume is more predictable than headcount.

Both plans include all features: OPD, IPD, pharmacy, lab, bed management, and reporting. Hospitals or organisations with 50+ users can contact us for a custom Enterprise quote.

Do we get any discount on upfront payments?

Yes. Annual payment gives you a 10% discount. We also offer 3-year and 5-year terms with higher savings. Reach out to support@dhanvantaree.com for a quote on longer terms.

What are the payment modes for subscribing?

Subscription payments are processed online via Razorpay, supporting all major credit cards, debit cards, and UPI.

Can multiple staff members share one login?

Technically possible, but strongly discouraged. Dhanvantaree uses role-based access control so each person sees only what's relevant to their role. Sharing credentials bypasses this and creates security and audit risks. We support four roles — Doctor, Receptionist, Manager, and Admin — each with appropriate access levels.

Do you provide training?

Yes. We provide onboarding training when you sign up, and our support team is available 24/7 for any questions. The platform is designed to be intuitive — most staff are comfortable within a day — but we're always there if you need us.

Can we migrate data from our existing software?

Yes. We offer a paid data migration service (one-time cost starting at ₹2,500). The final cost depends on the complexity of your existing data. Contact us before you sign up and we'll assess your requirements.

How does your pricing work for multiple doctors and staff accounts?

Under the Essential plan, you purchase one subscription per doctor. Each doctor subscription includes one additional account at no cost — for a manager, receptionist, or other support staff. If your team has more support staff than doctors, those extra accounts can be added for a small fee. Contact us with your team size and we'll work out the best structure for you.
